Scentsy has started a debate that at times can get quite heated. Is the Scentsy system really better than the traditional candle. We are going to compare Scentsy and the popular candle company, Yankee Candle. We will see which is more cost effective and which is just all around better.
Let’s start with Yankee Candle. The average candle costs around fifteen dollars. Once you take the candle home and light it, the fragrance will last for about four days depending on if you light it every day or not. There is also the fire hazard. If a kid or perhaps a busy husband knock the candle over your whole house could go up in flames. You also can’t reuse the candle once the wick is gone. Its just over and one with and it’s time to get a new candle. The average person will have to buy 120 candles a year. If you add up the total cost of all those candle is in the ballpark of 1,800 dollars. That is a lot of money.

Scentsy is a big company that gives us a lot of things to create a warm and beautiful home environment. They give us beautiful warmers with incredible scents. They are also trying create a better world for everyone in it. As we know there are many moms out there that work for Scentsy. And we know that in most families the moms are the ones that do the cooking. Where does this leave the rest of the family? Scentsy being the great company they are have come up with a way to fix this.
Scentsy’s Common Kitchen that are partnered with the Guckenheimer have started a new program. This new program prepares ready made meals that can be ordered by Scentsy employees daily. You can also order sack lunches for kids to take to school with them. This program was created for the tenth anniversary of the company. This is so that they can help the rest of the moms out there take care of their families. The Scentsy Common Kitchen provides breakfast and lunch every day already.
These dinners will be nutritionally balanced and can be picked up Thursday nights. Orders can be put in Monday-Wednesday. They are also offering a sack lunch program. This will be a buffet style program that w ill have kid sized entrees, drinks and sides. Kids would be able to pick what they want in their lunches. These lunches will cost four dollars depending on how many items are chosen. They also meet all the requirements of a fully balanced meal.

I don’t know about you guys but when the boy’s come in from playing they usually don’t smell very good. It doesn’t matter how old they are they usually end up not smelling very good. What does this mean for you consultants out there? Well let me tell you. You now have the opportunity to host a different kind of party where you can experiment with the different scents you have. Try mixing some of your favorites together and see who can come up with the best name for them. Try mixing two scents that seem to be total opposites. Find new mixes and share them with all the other Scentsy lovers out there. The worse that could happen is you could make a scent that really doesn’t smell all that great. This is a great way to expand your business and to get more bars sold.
To all of our non-consultant friends out there, don’t be afraid to mix your own scents. You may create scents that special to you. Which would be great, but as you find them make sure you share them with those around you. Help your consultants to find new mixes for their parties. This will help them and in return they can share all the new things they have learned with you. And share what you find with everyone else so we can try the mixes too.
